The Commission is composed of seven members who serve three-year terms, must be residents of the City and, if possible, be professionals in the fields of:
Lay persons with special interest, experience, or knowledge in any of these fields may make up the balance. The City Commission requests nominations from the Southeast Volusia Historical Society
The Commission recommends designation of historic districts, landmarks, and sites; advises on historic preservation; coordinates the City’s preservation work with Federal, State, and County governments and other City Departments.
